The hatchets are basic hand tols ll the woodworker know about and without a nice feeling hatchet , the wood cutting can be an easy theme , sometimes .
Surely you all have seen hatchets and axes in your villages , in the countryside , et.c and you think that they’re the exact same tools , but not 100% exactly the same .

I have some suggestions and favorite hatchets for you and to tell you the truth the old days i picked hatchets-axes , only from their looks , but not now .

You can find very cheap hatchets in bazaars of 10$ , but i stongly suggest to have one or two more upgraded ones .

This Senkichi Satsuma Type , is a very fine hatchet in the area of the 50$ , for wood splitting and the other wood chopping jobs . The Japanese steel alloys are always in a top level and i always liked their sharp blades .

This Husqvarna Yankee hatchet is another fine choice for you , having a very well designed handle .
It weights 700grams , it has a hickory wood handle ( very well shaped ) and it’s a 15″ hatchet .
One thing you’re finding in the more expensive hatchets/axes , is that the head is secured in the handle with wooden and steel claws . This is very good for a hatchet’s head stability , during time .

Some hatchet – axes accessories are very helpful and will make your hatchet’s “life” easier and you’ll maintain them correctly for a long time .

It’s handmade , it has the heavy – duty thickness i like much and the “old times” , rough – raw look . It’ll fit for all the hatchet handles , outhere .
