The bark spud wood tool , you may think that it’s not a must tool for anyone , because it’s a kind of a primary treated wood – logs tool , but it’s a wise think to have a couple of these in your “armory” .

Sometimes you may have to treat – “clean” – peel , not an entire tree trunk because you don’t supply wood , so much big , but what about a smaller log ?

It’s beveled for sharpness and its light curvature blade shape helps the debarking without “tons” of sweat and effort . Don’t worry for the durability of the wooden handle .

It has a lighter curvature and it’s not an expensive heavy – duty tool .

The Senkichi Gold Entry – Steel Blank Paper 1.7″ .
The Japanese blades never disappoint anyone and this smaller spud from Senkichi , is a fine example of their craftsmanship .
It has a very good alloy steel( very long name ) and good thickness ( 1.5″ ) and its width is 42mm. It’s very capable for smaller log – wood “cleaning” – debarking and it hasn’t a curved shaped blade , but a straight one .

I think this very comfort shaped to work debarking tool , should be the last for you and you don’t have to spend more in this tool area . You’ll be fully ok .
