Best Drawknife , to make your wood slicing precise and easy .

Having a couple of good quality drawknives is a nice to thing to have along with your other green( and not only) woodworking tools to slice wood as you want , fast and easy .

Have some with several angled handles , some straight and some curved ones and you’ll be fully covered in this important shaping – slicing area .

The complete post for the drawknives and their “secrets” , in HERE .

Concerning the blades in general , i like very much the japanese , but i think that the best think is to have an “open mind” and pick your tools as wisely , sa you can .

This straight Beavercraft carbon steel drawknife is a very nice pick and it has a very nice price .

This totally straight shape it has , helps the most for slicing and shaping board edges , small lats and it isn’t only capapble for straight cuts .

You can do concave with easiness , also .

It has the hardened level it should have , the steel alloy is hard enough to allow “surgical” sharpness and hold it for long .

This is a nice piece and you can get it from the Amazon , for less than 50$ .

A nice curved drawknife and a long enough are “must” for any woodworker .

I’m not objective when i see wooden handles , but this Timber Tuff 5″ curved drawknife with wooden handles , doesn’t need my objectivity .

First thing i like much , is its blade thickness , which is thick enough(5mm) and its beveled to 30o degrees for high precision . The metal craftsmanship is very – very good and it’s very solid as i like .

It’s curved and it isn’t too long or too short and that raises its versatility to the max . As all the sharp tools you buy , use your file a little to bring it to your measures and you’re ready .

If you’re ready , take it from Amazon here .

This 10″ Lumberjack straight drawknife is the heavy “beast” for me and it comes ( designed – totally made ) from the USA Wisconsin .

It has a steel quality made for long lasting and sharpness and even if it doesn’t have wooden handles , it’s a very nice piece .

It has the appropriate thickness and it’s very well USA made .

The path to take it from Amazon is here .

The wider angled handles are extremely helpful for your sideways wood slicing to a wood piece and gives you more flexibility and comfort .

The Two Cherries Drawknife with Straight Blade .

This Robert Larson drawknife , doesn’t need much introdustions for its quality and general perfection . I think you should have one of this type of drawknife , for its shape ( called German type ) and the extremely comfortable handle shapes .

Once you touch this style of hanldes , you’ll never forget and you’ll “get in love” instantly . It has a very nice sensation .

The steel alloy of course has the Robert Larson quality and standarts and this is a must in my opinion .

Make your purchase from Amazon in here .

Having as many as you can from the above different drawknife styles , you’ll be fully covered for your precise wood slicing and do it with the max of control and safety .

Keep woodworking and always be happy .
