One of the most common ways to smoothen a wooden surface is the use of the “shaving” force of a wood scraper and if you get familiar with it , you can do amazing job .

Another very useful type of a triangular type scraper is this from the General tools which seems to be like a carving gouge or an awl , but it’s not .

This type of a scraper is extremely useful for reaching even in the most difficult areas of a wood joint , a hard to reach edge , et.c . There are very sharp and they keep this sharpness for a long time , because of their alloy steel and of course there are hardened .

Combine it with the above triangular scraper and you’l b 100% complete , concerning the tough areas of your woodworkign project .

The Shop Fox Scraper Set 6-Piece , White .

As for my last recommendation for this area , i’ve left this 6- piece set of cabinet wood scrapers , in order to be totally complete for all your scrapings .

Having this , you can scrape wood in every surface you can possible find as curved , concave , convex , arcs , circles , for your bowls inside ,et.c .

It’s very durable and have the correct alloy steel for scraping , it has a 120 grit number and i think it’s a very nice bargain in the 10$ area .

I don’t think you should give more than 50$ – 70$ , in order to be fully covered in this scraping – shaping wood area , even if the scrapers are cheap enough and not so expensive wood tools .
