The power router is certainly an essential woodworking power tool , if you want to create perfect hollow patterns and trimming your wood .

This very affordable(less than 50$) , Towallmark router is a super “honest” choice , having a copper motor to reduce heat and it’s very comfy in your hands .

It’s very powerfull and works smoothly ,tha same time for your comfort cuttings and the nice is that the heat is spreading very well and doesn’t cause discomfort .

For the ammount of its money , it’s very well made from a mixture of aluminum , steel and plastic where its needed and you can work very softly with it . OK , it isn’t made , to hollow the hardest type of wood , but if it’s something easy , it’ll do it .

You can handle it with one hand very fine and if you know what you have and for what money , you’ll love this little “beast” . I always like dthese kind of purchases . You give little , you take much .

The Milwaukee’s Cordless Compact Router ,18V .

I love this Milwaukee battery powered , one handed router , as i love MIlwaukee in general , eve if it’s an expensive brand . This router isn’t , it’s at 150$ ( +-) .

It has a 5.0amp Li-Ion battery which is ok for all your jobs and can penetrate into wood for 4 – 3/4″ .

Setups , adjustments and use are very easy , it has a very good grip – feeling to the hand and you won’t even notice the dust collection , which is excellent . It’s a Milwaukee tool , my friends . For some this is the BEST in its category .

The DEWALT Router , 24.000 RPM , 12 – Amp , 2-1/4HP .

This 2 – 1/4HP router is a powerful router , with a very soft starting and a great feedback when it’s under full load . Undoubtedly is a heavy – duty and precision machined router and not very heavy . It weights a little above the 4 kilos .

You’ll make your template work , your trim , dados , your groove cuts , roundovers and whatever , feeling very safe and secure . The locking mechanism is very secure and tight .

It’s not by luck i suppose , almost all my tools are yellow and red . Of course i live a couple of blocks away from the only one store which imports the milwaukee tools in whole Greece .

The Makita 3-1/4 HP Plunge Router, with Variable Speed .

This Makita is a truly power “beast” and i don’t think that you may need a more powerful one for your woodworking projects . It provides a very stable and smooth at the same time routing power , between the 9.000RPM and the 22.000RPM .

It’s very strong router , but it starts very smoothly . It has a 0” – 2-3/4” plunge depth capacity for easy penetration and ond of course an electric brake . It may need a dust collection and a throttle lock( the trigger place is very good ) improvements , but not a big deal .

Yes and maybe a little longer waranty , as the competition .

For some it isn’t a theme , but for me it’s welcomed . It’s made in Japan . Quality is present of course and overflows . If you can have only one power router , have this one .

Just remember to start slowly , because it’s a powerful 3+HP , router .

The Grizzly Industrial Super 66 Pc. Router Bit Set , 1/4″ Shank .

This Grizzly set of the 66 router bits , is maybe expensive and for sure the most expensive , suggestion from me , but it worths every penny . It’s made form the higher quality carbide steel and it’s finished in diamond wheels .

I know that you may think inside : more than 300$ for bits are much oney ansd you’re right , but this is a woodworking equipment for your entire life , no matter how hard you treat it .

The bit quality and craftmanship is perfect , the detailed finishing is perfect , the variety of the bit shapes for your milling is complete , the wooden box and packaging is perfect . This is a Grizzly product for sure .

** If you want something more affordable ( 150$+- ) , with less number of bits , this Bosch carbide , 10 pieces of 1/2″ and 1/4″ professional bit set is a very good choice .
