The very big gaps are corrected with the adding of the same glued wood in the gap , but the smaller gaps , a maybe recess in the wood from a nail , or anything , can be repeared with wood filler wax sticks .

What should i know for the wood Wax filler sticks ?

The wax filler sticks are used after the wood’s finishing and you should be very careful to match the color to the primary wood . A light darker color would be usually fine .

EXTRA BONUS vintage “secret” TIP :

Many “old school” woodworkers( and not only ) , liked very much to fill their wood’s pores , using the dust of their sanding with their sandpapers or whatever , mixed with their favorite oil .

Usually they did this to a “more open pore” wood type which needed more than a wax stick filler , as the oak , mahogany , et.c .

These guys and girls , did this using these two techniques :

1) Either they were living the wood dust from the sanding on the surface without cleaning the surface 100% and then they applied their oil , or

2) They were mixing pumice stone powder with their favorite oil and applied this to their wood .

I suggest for you both techniques .

I’ve done them both using of course my favorite oil , the linseed one , but you can use whatever you like .

This pumice stone powder from Amazon will do the job just fine . Go HERE to purchase it .
