Is carpentry Hard , for your body ? ( helpful mentality . )

The fear of many people , that maybe the carpentry activity is hard for the body and may cause health problems , is a serious fear .

Maybe many people have abandoned their plans to be a woodworker and this is very sad in my opinion , because fears in general are “attached” to our human nature , but we must not let them rule our lives .

The carpentry activity and way of life , except of a very nice and unique way of living , for many it seems very difficult to do and many think , that woodworking is a hard “thing” and they’ll never manage to act this hobby .

I know that many Ladies are afraid to try to be carpenters , because they imagine that only big and muscular men can do this .

I know that many people who have serious kinetic problems and they want to enter to the carpentry activity , they have doubts that this activity may “charge” more their body with problems .

I know that in general many people who see the carpenters carying heavy wooden boards or woodworking tools , afraid that all this will harm their body during time .

No , the woodworking activity isn’t hard on your body and your physical health and it doesn’t affect to your general health and state during the years , even if it requires some basic strength in order to control – work with woodworking tools and maneuver wood .

Yes , the carpentry activity has heavy materials( wood , tools , et.c ) you should carry and maneuver , but it isn’t something you should be afraid and i suppose there is no job or hobby wgich doesn’t need some skills .

The constructions have weights to carry , the agricultural work has weights to carry and many more . All this is for sure heavy for your body , but the human body is a very strong “mechanism” and adapts , becoming stronger and stronger .

If you work in a job with higher physical demands than other jobs for many years or your whole life maybe , this doesn’t mean that your body will have issues .

If you are be careful and you take the protecting measures , you can do body demanding jobs , for decades and have no body health issues .

How many farmers have you seen being in their 8th decade of their lives and continue to be farmers , doing demanding agricultural jobs , as they were in their 40’s , 50’s ?

I know and i heard people saying that if you do a physical heavy job or activity , your body will have themes during time , et.c . This isn’t true and if you’re taking care of your body , your body will take care of you , till your deepest age .

The examples are millions and i suppose , you all know Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone as two of the most famous persons , who they’re closing got their 80’s and they have physic , many would be jealous of .

These two man are characteristic examples of the physical condition you can have , if you’re a little cautious to your health and take care yourself . There are millions others , who are in the same very good condition .

The use of the woodworking tools for sure they need attention and respect from you , so you won’t get injured seriously or not from a lack of focus and seriousness .

In carpentry activity we deal with sharp wood tools ( hand or power ones ) and you know , it’s very easy to harm yourself if you aren’t cautious , but this isn’t a factor to have fears for woodworking .

You can harm your body with a simple “common” pencil or when you’re cooking in your kitchen , or whatever else , from a sharp knife , et.c . This doesn’t mean you’ll stop cooking of course .

Another area you should be aware for some dangers it hides , for your body and in general , is the use of chemicals we use for the finishing of our wood plans .

The stains , the lacquers , the mineral spirit , et.c are chemical factors we use and combine when we want to protect – finish a project and these factors , have chemical smell .

When we apply them or in general we use them , it’s wise and necessary to wear out face mask and don’t breath these factors . Choose the best possible face mask with cartidges for this and never make “discounts” .

Our skin , eyes , et.c need attention from chemicals , too .

So , having this kind of safety and health mentality clarified in your mind , you see that the woodworking activity doesn’t “treat” hard your body and your generic health and there is nothing to fear , in order to be a carpenter .

Except your physical body , you have your mental – spiritual – psychological self and the woodworking activity can make “miracles” for your inner self .

Woodworking is one of the best stress relief hobbies , for sure .

Woodworking is one of the best soul “cleaners” and hobbies you can act . It releases stress with a “magic” way and “vanish” your daily routine in a glimpse .

Keep woodworking and happiness will be a quarantee .
