The woodworking activity is for the already woodworkers , a fantastic way of life and for sure i want to clarify some “issues” that frightens ( maybe) the future carpenters , all over the globe .
I know from my personal experience some years back , that when you want to enter to an unknown territory , whatever this may be , you feel “strange” , at the beginning .
It’s like the first day in a new job , or the first day in the army maybe . You don’t know much and you want to learn as soon as possible , so you won’t be “new” anymore .
Yes , for sure Woodworking is easy for anyone , who can have access and supply the basic material , the wood and the ability to have some very basic ( and cheap) woodworking tools , to create his first woodworking projects .
Yes , woodworking is easy for anyone , who can have the “basic” physical power to hold in his hands a small wood piece and shape it , using his carpentry machinery .
Yes , woodworking is for sure easy for all the people and has no limitation , if you choose to enter to this big “wood family” . If you can do the basic activities in your life , you have the “basic” body and mind powers , you can be a woodworker and create very nice wood projects .
Erase some past “illusions” , concerning the woodworking activity .
1) You can be a 8 years old kid and you can start the woodworking activity , very easily making some nice wooden toys to play with the other kids . The “old days” , people did only that .
Before the technological evolution of our times and the countless toy stores , the kids used the materials they could find to make some primary toys , to play in their neighborhoods .
2) You can be a woman or a man with not very big body strength , but you can start to be a carpenter creating , simple “basic” and so nice wood furniture , to assist your daily life .
Small desks , small wooden boxes for your paper and archives , key holders , kitchen wood cutting boards , et.c aren’t so hard to do .
3) You can be a 100 years old person with not having the strength you had when you were young , but you can act the woodworking without any serious themes .
OK , you may not have the physical abilities you had in the past , but you have children and grand children . Let them help you a little and treat them with a candy .
4) You can have no money at all in your pockets , but you can find so easily wood in nature to make your presious wood plans , without any extreme wood machinery and equipment .

5) You can have only a few money to be a woodworker and you don’t need to be an extreme talented wooden artist , to start woodworking .
6) You don’t need to study in a elite university to be an amateur or a more experienced woodworker , even if technical schools exist .

7) You don’t need the best woodworking tools and equipment to be a carpenter . The basic ones , are enough for your start .
8) If you keep the basic safety measures , the woodworking tools , the wood dust and chemicals(fungi medicines , varnishes , et.c) for polishing and protecting wood , aren’t dangerous for your health .
Woodworking is easy to all people , because it’s attached to the humans DNA , since the first human stepped his foot on earth .
The first houses – inside equipment – first weapons – first tools , were made from wood and stones , so anyone can learn to woodworking and create useful stuff .
A simple hand saw , some screws , hammers , pins , a tape meter , a carpenter’s pencil and little wood glue , are enough to make so many wood stuff .
A pair of nice shoes , to make these long forest walks searching for your wood , always legally and always with safety , would be nice also .
Acting with the wood , many times is the best “teacher” and you’ll be amazed of how fast you’ll become a very fine carpenter .
You see “magician” woodworkers in the countless videos in the youtube and the social media , creating extreme wood projects and of course you feel that you cannot do the same . But this is good !!!!
You don’t have to duplicate anyone and you should have your own personality in woodworking.
When you’ll become a woodworker , no matter how amateur wood plans you’ll make , you should let your personality free to make your own creations and never try to duplicate , noone .
Does woodworking hobby – activity , “hurts” our planet ?
No , for sure no . The “damage” the carpentry activity in the amateur level is minor and doesn’t cause any problems to the amount of trees , our planet has .
Serious problems in the forests and trees are caused by the massive and uncontrolled cuttings of trees .
It’s the same with the fishing . Can you say that the number of the fish globally is reducing , from the fishing using fishing rods ?
Of course not .
Don’t hesitate to come to the woodworking “planet” and when you’ll finish your first woodworking project , no matter how “simple” this will be take a minute , breath big and enjoy the moment . This moment is yours .
