In the woodworking activity there are many million people participating around the world and as you can imagine , there are many millions of desires and opinions , concerning the woodworking machinery and carpenter needs .
Every opinion is respectable and welcomed of course and for sure it puts a “brick” to this hobby – activity we love so much . One major and timeless subject for countless hours of talking , is the question ” hand tools or power tools ? ” for woodworking .

Another serious theme in here is what power machines are needed to act woodworking efficiently and gain the most help , from them .
The machines you need in order to make wooden furniture of any kind of difficulty , are all the power tools for cutting – drilling – joining – shaping -carving – sanding , all the power sharpening tools assisting the use of the power tools and of course a dust collector system for your respiratory system’s health .
Of course if you want to create more easy woodworking projects , as a simple kitchen cutting board , or a tablet holder , et.c , you don’t need all the power machines range , but if you want to create all the furniture designs range , all the list of machines are needed .
Every power tool – machine provides its helping assistance to you , in a bigger or smaller level , but all of them are a significant part of your woodworking machinery “puzzle” .
So have in mind that , if you’ll start buying woodworking power machines – tools , you’ll need to get the entire range of them , in order to be a 100% well equipped and create whatever wood furniture you like .
The use of the table saws , the power miter saws , the power routers , the drill presses , the bandsaw , the screwguns , the power jointer , the thickness planers , the hollow chisel mortisers and more , combining with your hand tools and their sharpening machinery , can assist you to fulfill any wooden design .

Why do you need , All the machine’s list ?
During your woodworking activity , you’ll need to cut wood in may different angles , in many different lengths , in many different shapes , in many different positions and many times with the most accurate level possible .
You’ll need to drill wood in many different areas in its mass , creating several sized holes , with different diameters . Many times you’ll need to drill holes , even if you don’t want a hole , to help you shape wood for a different design .
Many times you’ll need the sanding assistant of your power machines , when your hands won’t be able to do the job correctly , very accurate and fast as you like .
Many times you’ll need the burning assistant of your machines and as you can imagine you’ll need the appropriate wood machinery , to do what you want to do .
Many times you’ll need the carving assistance of your power machines and even if you maybe a very capable carpenter , the use of your dremels will make your life easier .
Many times you’ll need the sharpening assistance for your hand tools an no matter how many times you’ve made the sharpening alone , the grinding wheels are serious assistants . Read an article for the sharpening tools , in HERE .
Many times you’ll need to flaten your wooden boards , perfectly square them , check and adjust their thicknesses and of sourse this cannot be done without the help of a power machine .
The dust collector sustem is for sure a necessary machine for you and your respiratory system and never neglect to give the money for a very good’s quality dust collector system .
What Maintenance these Machines , need ?
I personally trust 100% that and i suggest you to do the same , if you want the best and correct performance of your power machines , for many – many years .
Trust the official maintenance advices and guidance of the manufacturer for the machine , you’ve bought and avoid “alternative” ways which are maybe cheaper , but with way less guarantee .
Noone knows better what the machine needs operate as it should operate , than the creator – manufacturer of the machine . Of course many capable machine conservators exist outhere , but nobody can reach the level of the original creator of the machine .
He made it from zero , he knows better . All the rest , take information and advices from the origin .

I know and understand that there isn’t always easy to spend some money to purchase the complete range of the woodworking power tools , but you don’t have to worry mush .
Start slowly your purchases , bying one power tool or maybe a couple more and proceed to the others , during time . My approach in here is this : ” I’m bying the best tool i can spending the appropriate money avoiding the very cheap solutions . ”
If you buy something very cheap , it’ll last maybe for a very short period of time ( without also making the job i want ) , it’ll have many posibilities to unveil problems and eventually i’ll lose money .
