I know that , watching the “countless” youtube videos concerning the woodworking hobby and way of life , you may think that this is a hobby only for few .

I know that you see all these guys and girls using expensive wood machines and woodworking accessories costing lots of money , making their projects .

Woodworking Tools are Expensive Sometimes .

I know that you see expensive Husqvarna’s and Stihl’s , Bosch power tools( and many more top labels ) and expensive dust vacuums for the ones who work inside in their carpenter house and all these may “stress” you a little bit .

I know that you may thing that , in order to start your woodworking “life” , you must have all these expensive machinery and stuff . You must have all these woodworking tools and equipment and if you cannot afford them , you aren’t “cool” .

How i know this ?

Because i had myself that kind of “postpone” thoughts , in my beginning with the woodworking hobby .

I felt a little bit “strange” if my hand saw wasn’t the best in the market , or my protecting gloves weren’t as “fancy” as it should .

I felt that everybody was looking at me , when we were taking those long walks with my cousins , in the forest to find wood , for our plans .

But what change all this and since then , i don’t care ?

The pure love , for the woodworking activity was so big , so noone or nothing could do anything to make me “forget” it .

Yes , the moment you realize that nothing can stop you to enjoy the whole proccess and happiness , woodworking provides to its people .

Of course all these tools and equipment you see in videos , magazines or whatever , make your life easier , doing some “jobs” with wood , but it’s OK , if in the beginning you have only , cheap hand tools .

Cheap woodworking tools , can be Safe Tools .

Cheap hand tools , but as safer as you can . At the beginning it’s totally normal to start with woodworking tools , you can buy in the market and they are cheap , so you can afford them .

Later as you become more experienced and you start to create more complex wood projects , you can buy slowly – slowly , more advanced power tools and woodworking machinery .

At the beginning , you can fing tools in your warehouse , or a friend’s warehouse , in a bazaar , a local auction and with some personal treatment , you can make them fully operational .

You know this process has its beauty too . This is your period , in which you learn , you search , you make mistakes , you broke and you “rescue” tools from rust and time . And here is a “secret” .

The tools you’ll discover and “save” from rust and bad treetment from their previous owners , are the tools you’ll love the most . With these tools you’ll establish a deeper “connection” , which will “follow” you all your entire life .

Do you think it’s a random “thing” , that all the veteran and older woodworkers , have their first carpenter box , in a safe place and let noone to “harm” it ?

This first carpenter’s box , which is of course a wooden one , reminds them their beginning and their difficulties they had to confront .

So no matter where you are , how much money you have in your pockets , how little you know about wood and how many are watching your amateur skills , keep walking .

The only thing you should consider , is to your safety and some “laws” you should follow , during your wood hobby and have an open mind to search and discover new “things” .
