The sanding is a super serious woodworking action and it puts the final “Picasso” touches to your wood project , along with your finishing materials .
The good sanding job , can erase small mistakes you did while you creating your wood plan , “smooth the edges” generally of your design and make it perfect and ready for your oils , waxes , your paints , your polyurethanes , et.c .

So let’s make a useful guidebook for sanding to follow anyplace , anytime and minimize the mistakes and errors .
1) Stay Alive and Healthy to do sanding . Safety measures are Must .

You should never fall in the “trap” of the bad habits and sand wood without your face mask and your safety measures , because “it’s ok , i’ll sand a little” .
This is the most common mistake and habits , i see , cause by our daily routine . The bad habits .

No , Be a “robot” . Never start sanding without your top face mask , with filters , which they should be fresh and new .
Period .
2) Try to supply a very capable Dust Collector System .

I know that these woodworking equipment are kind of expensive , but your health and your suroundings health , are above all .

The dust collector system is a super necessary wood machinery , you should put your best to get .
3) If you can sand Outside , do it . Together with your Safety measures !!!!!

If you don’t have a dust collector system and you can sand outside , do it to avoid the wood dust breathing as much as you can .
Of course don’t say : “it’s ok , i’m outside , i don’t wear face mask” .

You don’t “blink your eyes” , without your safety measures , ALWAYS .
4) If you sand Wet wood , you’ll have Shrinkings .

The wood’s mass is changing as the wood dries . If you sand wet wood of any type , you’ll have shrinkings after the drying .
See how you can dry your wood naturally in HERE .
5) The Power Sanders cannot sand anything .

You orbital sanders , and your rest of your woodworking power machinery for sanding , cannot sand every wood design , outhere .
The difficult designs , require your manual abilities , your hand feeling and your hand ability to “follow” every area fo the wood , providing equal sanding .

I’ll keep updating this post constantly , to give you inffor for the new stuff i learn and experiment .
Keep woodworking and stay safe , before your happiness .
